Dry Stack Vineyard
Dry Stack Vineyard sits at an elevation of 550' on the eastern slope of Mt Taylor. The majority of the vineyard sits on a bench. The rest of the vineyard occupies the slope as that bench falls away to Matanzas Creek which forms Dry Stack's eastern boundary.
Dry Stack is a very cool vineyard site, pushing the edge of being too cool for Syrah and Grenache. They harvest Sauvignon Blanc and typically harvest Syrah and Grenache the last week in October to the first week in November.
This means that our Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Grenache always reflect the climate of their vintage. Cooler years offering softer, lower alcohol wines. Warmer years offering richer, riper wines. But always with that cool climate spice and texture.
Dry Stack sells most of the grapes it grows to Sonoma County wineries such as DuMol, Pax, Eric|Kent and others.
