Sonoma County
2012 Proprietor's Blend

Next vintage coming this Fall!
2012 was considered by many a textbook vintage. A tremendous harvest in terms of quality. Nature gave us good stretches of warmth in October to bring everything to full ripeness. Colors and aromas were beautiful while fermenting. Across the board, yields were above average, and the quality came though with a full bodied classic Rhône styled red wine.
Tasting Notes:
A blend of Syrah from Ray Teldeschi’s Dry Creek Valley ranch and a Syrah from Atossa's Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. The Dry Creek fruit provides nice ripeness combined with the intensity derived from Atossa's Vineyard. This produces nice structure with an Inky purple in color. This wine offers a heady nose of blackberry, blueberry, black pepper and a hint of earth. Impressively rich, yet balanced, this wine showcases its dark fruit character with a long finish of berries and spice. Perfect with big red foods like seared meats and rich pasta dishes. We expect this wine to shine well through 2020.
