Tasting Notes
Moderate pinkish orange color in the glass. Aromas of cranberry, orange water and dried herbs lead to a richly flavored core of blood orange, strawberry and watermelon fruits. Nicely composed, with integrated acidity and a very juicy finish.
Vineyard
Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing (CCSW). The Sangiacomo Southern Sonoma Vineyard was first planted in 1974. The Sangiacomo Family is a well known grower of ultra-premium Pinot Noir grapes in Sonoma County. Many wineries throughout the county and state source their fruit to make exceptional Pinot Noir. We have always been enamored by the Los Carneros climate just South of town of Sonoma and thrilled to work with this stunning grower.
Winemaking
Our 2015 Rosé of Pinot Noir is composed of 100% Pommard Pinot Noir from Sangiacomo Vineyard. We chose a Saignée method to capture the essence of the Pinot Noir and fermented in neutral barrels allowing the fruit to fully express its character.
